On Monday afternoon (June 18th) our sister company, Farnsworth Wholesale Company (FWC) had a large fire at their primary location on Baseline Road-- immediately south of R&K's facilities. While the warehouse & product damage was extensive, we are all grateful that all employees were accounted for and there were no injuries.
Many of our customers and the public have thought the fire was at R&K or spread to our property. However, the fire started at FWC and with the great work of the various fire departments it was contained and the damage to our facilities and equipment was minimal. All of R&K's operations are fully functional and able to service all customers.
This is a major blow to FWC, but they have two other facilities (Mesa & Peoria) where they are open for business supplying plumbing, HVAC, & waterwork products. Their ownership and management team are taking swift action to ensure they are back up to full capacity as soon as possible.
